Plastic artist and designer, Bete Bovo develops and executes projects of MURAL ART on the wall surface, integrating the Painting to the Architecture. Her professional experience involves drawing, painting, photography and mural painting.

Born in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, where she began her artistic development,  she moved to São Caetano do Sul in 1973 and there, established her atelier.

She has started teaching Art at IADE (Institute of Art and Decoration) in São Paulo and afterwards she has taught Art at schools and cultural centers. She has participated in exhibitions, as well as ministering various workshops at Espaço Henfil da Cultura (Henfil Culture Space) in São Bernardo do Campo/SP, as well as at Casa do Olhar (House of the Sight) in Santo Andre/SP and has worked as a Coordinator for Escola de Artes Visuais da Fundação das Artes in São Caetano do Sul,  São Paulo.

 

In the Design area, she has worked as a Product Manager for the furniture industry. However, Art was her great vocation, therefore, she resumed the artistic activity, aggregating her experience to the development of projects for the commercial, corporative and residencial segments.

 

Her work promotes the integration of Art and the Architectural space, making the ambiences more stimulating, productive and human.

 

Education

 

In the 60’s, she went to Escola Paulista de Belas Artes (School of Fine Arts of São Paulo) in downtown São Paulo, near Library Mario de Andrade and MASP (Museum of Art of São Paulo), where she was in contact with books of art and works of painters she admired so much.

 

She graduated at FAAP (Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation)  in Industrial Design, at the Fine Arts College and at São Judas Tadeu University in Artistic Education.

 

She attended workshops and courses at Museum Lasar Segall, MASP (Museum of Art of São Paulo), MAM (Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo) and Bienais Internacionais de São Paulo (International Biannual Art Exhibitions of São Paulo).

 

She has been participating in collective and individual exhibitions since 1984 and  has been oriented by the artists  Silvio Dworecki, Evandro Carlos Jardim e Ubirajara Ribeiro.
